Welcome to the Interpersonal Relationships Lab, we are a research group housed in the School of Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington.

How do people’s beliefs about gender influence the ways they behave in their romantic relationships? How do support behaviors in relationships help, or undermine, our psychological wellbeing? How can power dynamics in relationships affect inequality in society?  These are just a few of the many questions that our lab aims to examine.

We’re looking for students who are interested in the psychology of intimate relationships to join our team at VUW! Our projects tend to involve a range of skills such as experimental design, observer coding of interpersonal interactions, data analysis, and academic reports. If you are interested please feel free to get in touch to find out more about the opportunities our lab has to offer.
